Review: Sun chairs

Sommersault Assorted Banana Sunlounge (Bunnings  $24.95)

This one is a good, cheap option and very comfy! The colours are fun and poppy too. It does have a few flaws: it is a bit heavy, so you’d want it to leave in your backyard and not lug it to a beach, it develops rust if you leave it in the rain so be careful of that and because it’s made from plastic, put a towel down or you’ll get a bit of a sweaty back.

National Gallery Deck Chairs (National Gallery, London £99)

TW’s sadly couldn’t fly to London to test these out, but they look delicious and would make a yummy Christmas present for a mummy who has everything!

Pictured from left to right: A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase Deck Chair (featuring a detail from Bosschaert’s famous painting: A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase), Bathers at La Grenouillère Deck Chair (inspired by Claude Monet) and Sunflowers Deck Chair (inspired by Vincent Van Gogh).

The frame is made from oiled merpauh wood and the seat is made from hardy sail cloth, making it not just sumptuous, but sturdy too.

Kalahari Floating Sun Chair (Milan Direct $174)

These bean-filled chairs are really great for outdoor cinemas and to have poolside. They are so comfortable, but because you can’t really lie on your front, TW’s is giving this 3 out of 5.
